This project, in cooperation with the GIZ sector initiative Multilateral Development Banks for Global Public Goods develops and validates infrastructure benchmarks needed to achieve the SDGs, covering sectors like energy, health, education, transport, water, and gender-sensitive infrastructure. It involves database research (IRENA, IEA, World Bank, etc.) to quantify benchmarks, assess their cross-country applicability, and recommend their use for evaluating MDB projects. Recommendations also cover iterative methods linking global goals to national priorities, investment plans, and bankable pipelines.
